When a chip has spread into a crack, or the damage is too big or in the wrong spot to repair, it’s time for a new windshield. Your windshield is part of your vehicle’s safety system. It helps the roof hold up in a rollover and helps the airbag deploy correctly, so it has to be installed right.
Our technicians remove the damaged windshield, prepare the frame, and install new glass that meets or exceeds OEM standards with the proper urethane adhesive. We follow the Auto Glass Safety Council’s installation standards and will tell you how long to wait before driving.
ADAS recalibration: required, not optional. If your vehicle has a camera behind the windshield for lane-keeping, automatic braking or adaptive cruise control, it must be recalibrated after a new windshield goes in. That’s a safety requirement, and at Magic Glass it’s never optional. We do it in-house, with a pre-scan before the work and a post-scan after (copies on request), so there’s no second trip to the dealer.
Workmanship warranty. Our installations come with a workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. Keep your receipt, because we’ll need it for any warranty claim.

Chips smaller than a fifty-cent piece can usually be repaired. Longer cracks, several chips, or damage directly in the driver’s line of sight usually mean a replacement. We’ll look at it and tell you honestly.
Most replacements take about one to two hours. After that, the adhesive needs time to cure before the vehicle is driven. We’ll tell you the safe drive-away time for your vehicle. If your vehicle needs ADAS recalibration, plan on extra time for that.
If your vehicle has a camera or sensor mounted behind the windshield (for lane-keeping, automatic emergency braking or adaptive cruise control), yes. Recalibration is a safety requirement after a windshield replacement, not an option. We do it in-house, scan your vehicle before and after, and will tell you up front if a pre-existing code could affect the calibration.
